Each session is staffed with volunteers having wide experience in computing and the internet.
Don't worry about not understanding. We avoid technical terms.
The amount of use you make of volunteers is up to you. You may wish to use a computer, but have help to hand if you want it.
It is not a course and you can come and go as you wish. Think of it as support. It is, essentially, a 'drop in' option.
Volunteers will try to respond to your needs through discussion.
You can, for example:
- set up an e-mail address which you can use anywhere.
- learn to explore web sites.
- learn to find information when you don't know where to look for it.
- gain confidence in shopping 'on-line'.
- explore sending photographs or longer text items by e-mail.
- explore design (make posters or greeting cards).
- use spreadsheets for managing data such as address lists.
